From Fishbourne, Wightlink Ferry Terminal
On leaving the terminal, turn left at the traffic lights to Ryde. Follow the signs for through traffic in Ryde which will direct you through the town and bring you onto the A3055 to Sandown and Shanklin. This road will take you through Brading. On entering Sandown you will pass under a railway bridge and then come to a mini-roundabout (Texaco garage on your left) Turn right and follow this road around Sandown. You will leave Sandown after a set of traffic lights ( The heights leisure centre on your right) and immediately enter Lake. Straight ahead at the next set of traffic lights. There is a speed camera along this road after the railway bridge. At the next set of traffic lights, at the bottom of a hill with a five ways junction, follow the sign for Ventnor, which takes you up a steep hill in front and to the left. This road is one way to the top. Just over the brow of the hill turn right into Clarendon Road then left into St. Georges Road. You will find Swiss Cottage 100 yards on your right.

From East Cowes, via Newport & Godshill, to Shanklin
On leaving the ferry terminal take the A3021 straight in front of you and follow the signs to Newport, Osborne House is on your left. After about 3 miles you will come to a roundabout, Turn Right onto the A3054 for 2 miles to Newport Town Centre. Keep Leftat Medina Roundabout and take the A3020 out of Newport to Shanklin, Staples and Matalan should be on your right. After 2 miles turn Right on the A3020 to Shanklin and continue your journey for 7 miles passing through Rookley, Godshill (20mph speed limit) and Sandford. On arriving at Shanklin (speed camera on your right) you are now at the top of The Old Villiage. Turn Left down the High Street, take 3rd Right Cross Street (opposite Regent Street shops) then Left into Palmerston Road (look for Palmerston Hotel on the corner) and take 1st Left again into St Georges Road.
Swiss Cottage is about 100 yards on your left.

From East Cowes, Country Route via Arreton & Lake, to Shanklin
On leaving the ferry terminal take the A3021 straight in front of you and follow signs to Newport, Osborne House is on your left. After about 3 miles you will come to a roundabout, Turn Left and briefly take the A3054 to Ryde and approx 200 yards take 1st Right, signposted ( A3056) Sandown for 3 miles you will pass signs for : Butterfly Worldon your right, IOW Steam Railway on your left and Robin Hill Adventure World on your left. You then arrive at the junction of Arreton Manor & Barns. Turn Left and follow signs for Sandown (A3055) for a further 3 miles on the A3056 until you reach Apse Heath. You will pass The Fighting Cocks Pub on your right, Amazon World on your Left.
Continue straight on for Sandown (A3055) for 2 miles passing through Lake, you will see IOW Airport and Morrisons on your left, also Lake Middle School (2 Speed Cameras). Turn right at the Traffic Lights towards Shanklin (A3055) for the last mile of your journey. At the bottom of the hill there is a 5 way junction, follow the signs for Ventnor up a steep hill which is straight in front of you and slightly to the left. This is a one way road to the top. Just over the top of the hill, Turn 1st Right into Clarendon Road and then 1st Left into St Georges Road,
Swiss Cottage is about 100 yards on your Right.

Directions from the railway station at Shanklin
Walking
On leaving the station bare right towards the town into Regent Street. Continue all the way to the end of the shops until you see Boots on your right and Chubbies on your left at an offset crossroads. To cross more safely there is a pedestrian crossing approx. 25 metres to the right. Go straight over into Palmerston Road and up a slight hill. Follow the road round to the left and take the first turning on your left into St. Georges Road. Swiss Cottage is 100 meters on the left.
